Although most of you are familiar with the "World's Richest" rules and regulations, allow me to briefly touch upon a new rule for this year and a change for next year's tournament. Because of safety concerns, this year we will have a strict "NO WAKE" zone which will extend from a buoy located north of the phosphate dock through the Pass. Additionally, beginning next year, there will be a minimum boat length of 22 feet.

The enclosed tournament brochure should help guide you through the myriad of events taking place throughout the tournament. As a participant, you are cordially invited to attend the Captain's Rules Party and the Boca Bay Pass Club, the downtown Silver King Celebration, and the Awards Banquet. We would also like to extend a WELCOME to the families of the participants and as you to join us during the tournament at the "Tournament Spectator Tent" located on the beach near the weigh barge. Sponsored by First Union Bank, the tent will have "up to the minute" news about the tournament, cold drinks, hot dogs, hamburgers and a variety of special events.
